SAP SuccessFactors 1H 2025 Release: Reporting & Analytics
29. April 2025The 1H 2025 SAP SuccessFactors Time Management release introduces a wide range of enhancements based on customer feedback. Covering 12 influence requests and more than 245 votes, the update demonstrates a strong focus on agility, usability, and compliance.
Enhanced Time Tracking
Time Tracking has taken a major step forward. It now streamlines daily operations, reduces manual effort, and gives managers clearer visibility into workforce hours. With faster entry workflows, smarter approval cycles, and stronger compliance checks, both employees and administrators can spend less time on admin tasks and more on running the business.
- Quick Create in the Time Sheet UI: Employees can now apply planned time across multiple days in a single dialog. This speeds up entry and reduces errors.
- Half-Day Absences for Clock-Time Users: Users can select the first or second half of a day without calculating times. Rules can enforce half-day only entries.
- Flexible Approval Periods: Time sheet approvals can be aligned with payroll cycles such as bi-weekly, half-monthly, or 4-weekly. This reduces overhead.
- Time Container Updates: Support has expanded from 3 to 10 containers per day. Categories now include “Counted Events” and new valuation types, such as tracking annual workdays.
- Single Record Approval Enhancements: Cancel workflows more easily, process declined requests more clearly, and ensure accurate payroll.
- Non-Working Day Checks: The system detects whether the next day is a working or non-working day, crucial for shifts crossing midnight.
- Consolidated Time Recording: In S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, users benefit from cross-midnight support, fixed breaks, real-time absence displays, and allowance recording.
Compliance & Integration
This release also improves compliance and third-party integration. The changes aim to cut manual effort, enhance accuracy, and simplify management.
- Audit Documents: Track who made time sheet changes and when. This supports SOX 404, FLSA, and DCAA compliance.
- Payroll Integration: Standardized best practices ensure accurate and compliant data transfer to external payroll providers.
- FMLA Automation (USA): Absences for FMLA can be created automatically, with configurable sequencing of time types.
Employee Central Time Off Innovations
Time Off also gets a major update:
- Absence Creation via Joule: Employees can request leave using natural language.
- New Balance Calculation: Balances now reflect future planned absences, offering a more accurate year-end view.
- Mobile Updates: Desk-less workers can view calendars, request leave, check balances, and see summaries directly on mobile.
- Minor Enhancements: Improvements include better calendar usability, refined approval filters, server-based clock in/out, and easier permission management.
Together, these features create a more unified and mobile-ready experience for managing time off.
